The role
- You own the end-to-end product lifecycle for financial crime tools: AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and fraud detection systems.
- You manage the engineering backlog, write detailed user stories, and prioritize features, tech debt, and bugs for continuous delivery.
- You translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable specs, working as the key liaison between Compliance, Legal, Financial Crime Intelligence, and engineering teams.
- You define and track KPIs for FinCrime products, using data to inform prioritization and measure effectiveness across multiple product lines.
- You proactively identify innovation opportunities—including machine learning and AI—to enhance detection models and stay ahead of evolving threats.
What they are looking for
- 3+ years as a Product Manager in FinTech, Financial Services, or regulated tech environments.
- Deep expertise in financial crime prevention: AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and fraud detection.
- Proven track record managing engineering backlogs and working directly with development teams in Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Strong communication skills: ability to articulate complex technical and regulatory concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Data-driven mindset with a track record of using metrics to inform decisions and prioritize competing priorities.
- Experience in highly regulated industries and familiarity with transaction monitoring or case management tools is a plus.
